I'll second that, I really need to find some time to put it back together.

Realisticly, i don't see me getting to spend much time on it till May 2012, After Uni Exams.

Anyone else who has a roadster which is complete should put a video on youtube as there is very little to view on there!

Have Fun.....AndyH

Well I must say .... It was very kind of HandyA to let you road test his build like that. :D :D

Seriously though, I can't think of a more fun way to put the Saturn demonstrator to good use

Green with envy Andy. :)

Cheers Ronnie,

It was just a bit of fun after a hard week, not the best of driving but the area was a bit restricted plus a few lamp posts to avoid with big crash barriers around them plus it was damp. I sound like an F1 driver with all these excuses - Lewis springs to mind.......:D

Cheers....AndyH

The worst driver ever

Andy

If you want to see bad driving, stick me behind the wheel .... Have a feeling that you would need to dig very deep into your spare parts reserve :D

Gospel truth, I have only tried drifting twice & on both occasions it involved the police.
1st time nearly ran one over, 2nd time I got nabbed !!

1st Time

Was given a Vauxhall VX490 as a loaner whilst my Colt Galant was in for repair after it was attacked by a stray caravan ( Came off the owners hitch & got me )

A bigger car than I was used too, 2.3 litre GLS model.

Took it to town for a spin ( Read show off )
Gave it too much stick on the roundabout just down from the cop shop, lost the back end, regained from that & promptly lost the front end, slightly mounting the pavement & in the general direction of a policeman that was walking down from the station.

Don't know who was the most frightened, me or the policeman that had to jump out of the way
Would have been in my early 20's back then, fully expected a knock on my door for that incident but never heard any more about it ( Guess it was too difficult to to trace cars back then )

2nd time

Dropped my youngest lad off at the bus station in town.
Being a Sunday morning the station was deserted, drove in like a lunatic & tried what can only be described as a handbrake turn / Drift / Burn out sort of affair ( Even I don't know what I was trying to do )

Quietly pleased with my little moment, I had not noticed that a Panda car was parked in the Taxi rank opposite the bus station. :o

The Policeman walked over to me & said " What was that all about "
Best I could come up with was " Sorry officer my foot slipped off the clutch "

After a few friendly words of advice I was allowed to go on my way with a reminder to go easy with that clutch.

Late 20's then & well before the days that motorists started to get treated as criminals & a rich revenue source.

That was the end of my dare devil driving days.

Looking back, I don't think youngsters have ever been any different.
Just times have changed & the roads are just so busy these days.
