Quick update, I have bought the majority of the bolts from my local supplier and split them all into the 20 sets. Just awaiting payment from the remaining few people so I can order the rest of the kits (longest bolts and nut covers).

Headshot 29th June 2010 07:06 AM

Payment sent, my bad, sorry everyone :o

Payment sent !

PM sent.

Is there anyone else who might want a set of these bolts? One member has put his project on hold and wants to know if there is anyone who wants his set. He says he would be happy to still take the set if no one else wants it but I said I would try and find someone else first. Apparently I got this message a couple of days ago but for some reason the forum isn't telling me when I have unread PM messages. This is one of the reasons I initially wanted to take payment from everyone before going ahead and ordering :(

Better news, I have ordered and received the nut covers. Only the longest bolts left to get (will order them tomorrow if the place is open) and I can post the kits out :D

PMs have been sent the remaining people :)

Yep, I'll have some

DStanley1809 5th July 2010 12:07 AM

Mr Henderson, the bolts are yours :)

The guy who put his project on hold has abandoned it altogether and has no need for the bolts.

The kit will be £20.95 if you wish to pay by bank transfer or £21.87 if you would prefer PayPal. Please PM me with your preferred method :)

any update on the nuts and bolts? just trying to plan my next few weeks work ....

DStanley1809 9th July 2010 12:32 PM

I had placed the order for the lasts of the bolts earlier in the week. I just phoned them up now to see where they are and have been told they are actually out of stock everywhere in the country (I hope he just means his own companies depots). Earliest they can get them is August and awaiting a delivery from somewhere "overseas"

They are refunding me for them and I am trying find somewhere else to get them.

Sorry everyone.

Thanks for your efforts

DStanley1809 9th July 2010 12:47 PM

All sorted, I found somewhere with them in stock and they arrive Monday :D

Anyone heard from mr p lately? He is the only person left to pay and hasn't responded to PMs

The Ssssnake 17th July 2010 09:18 PM

Hi David

Any news on the suspension bolts as I could do with sorting a date for fitting.

Cheers Jake

DStanley1809 18th July 2010 10:53 AM

Sorry, haven't been able to get online all week. The bolts arrived on Wednesday and I'm nearly done packaging them all up. It takes a while counting out all the items in each kit and placing all the washers, nuts and caps on each bolt and I've had work too.

I will be posting them out Tuesday/Wednesday :D

Edit: I'm still waiting to hear from mr-p about payment. I've sent PM's but had no reply and I can't send him an email because he's has chosen not receive them from forum members. Does anyone have a way to contact him outside of the forum? It seems his last post on the forum was the one confirming he wanted a kit.

Have you tried weighing one bolt, washer and cap and then multiplying that number by the amount you need and just forming the kits that way? :D

DStanley1809 18th July 2010 07:53 PM

I thought of that but I was talked out of it. My dad thinks there would be too much variation on the weight of each bit due to manufacturing tolerances. I'm not so sure, they can't be that different to each other.

The deciding factor for me was not having any scales to hand :D

DStanley1809 26th July 2010 03:10 PM

Hi everyone, sorry for the delay.

I just paid all the postage and the sets are being picked up tomorrow at 12pm for delivery on Wednesday.

I would have done it earlier but work has been getting in the way (I work part time in retail and have to go in whenever I get a phone call :( )

All done now though and I hope I haven't annoyed anyone too much with the wait.

Eternal 26th July 2010 03:13 PM

Great thanks mate just in time for my build too! Thanks for organizing this all.

It did take a long time to do that with each set but it was the best way i could think of to make sure every kit had enough of each item. It also meant less space was needed to package them up.

I think I went a bit over board with the tape on one your boxes too :D

I'm glad people are happy with them :)

Homersdouble 28th July 2010 07:06 PM

Bolt kit delivered this afternoon - very many thanks for your efforts.

Malcolm 28th July 2010 10:29 PM

Hi, bolt set arrived today. Thanks for what you have done, much appreciated.

Malcolm

ps, I'm not sure if all my bolts are in the package as whoever wrapped this one up is certainly trying to hide something.

DStanley1809 28th July 2010 10:47 PM

Malcolm, I'm not sure what you mean by "trying to hide something".

All the sets (bar Spuds) were packaged in the same way. Yellow Bosch boxes with tapered tops with lots of silver duct tape.

There should be 30 bolts in total each with two washers, two nut caps, one plain nut and one locking nut. There should be two really long ones, two slightly shorter ones, 20 that are quite a bit shorter then 6 of the smallest size.

Mine where packaged as shown, And I thought that it was the best way to save space and economise on packaging materials.

You may want to re-phrase what you have posted, it sounds like an accusation of some kind!!! or was it that it looked like a box of drugs :D

Wgroove 29th July 2010 05:10 PM

Hi David,
Today, i received the bolts !
Thanks a lot !

Greetz,

Wim

Malcolm 29th July 2010 08:08 PM

Sorry if what I said caused any offence, it was meant to be funny.
I said thankyou and that your efforts were appreciated. My ps was honestley refering to how well wrapped the package was, that's all.

Thanks again, Malcolm.

DStanley1809 29th July 2010 08:51 PM

No offence taken, I was just concerned that something had happened to them and the courier had repackaged them with some missing lol.

mr-p 29th July 2010 09:03 PM

Got mine today, somehow used my old addess when I paid so they took a detour.:D

Thank you very much.
