Im going on the Sunday, have booked a £15 room at the nuneaton travel lodge and travel home on monday. I have just ordered a low profile manifold from europa for my pinto and twin 45's and collecting it at the show to save postage

Where are all the Haynes roadsters? Which stand? Thanks

Davey 6th May 2012 05:33 PM

Currently on a camp site East of Peterborough but hoping to pop into the Stoneleigh show on our way home tomorrow for a couple of hours, got some shopping to do . Went into Halfrauds today to see what was available in DVD head units with 7" screens for the camper van and came out with £300 worth of Ripspeed DVD unit for £180 and a £10 discount voucher so spending money is a little less for tomorrow.

i'm off tomorrow, is it any good? :)

degmwilliams 7th May 2012 09:11 AM

Was very good. I went to try and get some ideas for building my Haynes. After walking round for about 4 hours and not finding any iv decided to sack it off and have ordered a tiger Avon kit. I will be selling alot of my bits. Was disappointed but have made a better decision to build a tiger.

monsterob 7th May 2012 09:52 AM

I went yesterday and saw one haynes ! I was astounded by the sheer amount of cobras !! They were everywhere !!!

I spent some cash aswell but couldnt find Alot of the bits i was hoping to get
Had a nice day tho

AshG 7th May 2012 10:01 AM

there were at least three roadsters there. mine tillys and gus's

baz-r 7th May 2012 01:30 PM

i went yesterday and had a bit of a spending session :( but i have got lots of bits i needed :) and still managed to forget to buy a few odds and ends
seen two "owners" roadsters there on the locost owners pitch. one looked very much like ashes and i take it the other one was tillys (vtec engine swap)
quiet a few stands where missing and it seems to be a bit sign of the times.
agm was there sharing a stand with furore cars with one of the body sets thay supply (in yellow) and quality looked realy good but that was the only roadster parts i could see for sale apart from sets of shocks.
as i was on more of a shopping mission i didnt have time to go round all the show but overall looked good.
i think it would have been realy busy if the wether had been a little better of late and there was lots of talk of nearly not coming waiting in the que to get in first thing in the morning.
the amount of europian people there was quiet a suprise from last time i went i wounder if the exchange rate has somthing to do with it?

I chickened out in the end, we were on the way back from P'boro when it started to rain and as it was £15 entry per person I just didn't fancy spending £30 to spend a couple of hours wandering around in the rain and spend money on stuff I'm not in desperate need of. I will try to make one of the other shows later in the year, perhaps Stafford?

michael92 7th May 2012 03:39 PM

or newark? :) speaking of newark does anyone know when it is ?

TSM Locost 7th May 2012 04:18 PM

Newark Show

NEWARK SHOW County Showground, Notts JUNE 16-17

Davey 7th May 2012 05:19 PM

Can't do Newark as we are already booked for that weekend. When's Stafford ?

D.

Talonmotorsport 7th May 2012 06:32 PM

Stafford show lol IF it is on again this year after last year's shambolic show and I seriously doubt it will be I would say stay at home and work on your build. Half the hall was empty and no that is not an exaggeration, you could have had a game of football in there except that there where not enough people to make two full teams! I almost asked for my money back at the door for wasting my time!!!!

Davey 7th May 2012 07:25 PM

Thanks Phil, will probably give that a miss then.:(
