i had two diffrent makes of draglink one fitted 3ge mushrooms onne had the a shorter thread!

as for sierra TRE's thay have off set and are handed not sure about the tapper
when i was at the motorfactors (good friends and have used for years) thay told me QH are the only people that still have both the drag links and the maxi joints in thair stock lists

I guessed that was the case with the draglinks. Trouble is I spent £50 on these and don't want to waste them. I'll probably rework the mushrooms to fit. As for the Sierra TREs do you know which side I need to order to get the RH threads.

As TT says Escort ones don't fit the sierra uprights! They have the same taper but are too short and you won't have the correct angle of movement which you only find out when they break!!
RS2000 Tre's ARE different as some escort racks/struts were imperial and later one's were metric. RS2000 Tre's were a metric/imperial hybrid.

It really irritates me when people post what they think they know rather than factual information. Costs people a lot of time money and frustration to discover this...

I missed this. If RS2000 TREs fit the Sierra uprights then why don't mine? Is it possible EDS haven't sent RS TREs but standard escort ones. I spoke to the lad in my local Ford dealer recently and he says there is no difference between petrol and diesel uprights so that's not the problem.
