Thanks Johno :)

TT, cheers for that , I don,t mind riding a bike in the wet, tho when racing bikes in the wet I don,t think I took a breath of air from the green light to the chequered flag  :D .....lots of butt clenching moments indeed :D

We had a lecturer at uni "Dave Lee" (staggeringly we also had another lecturer called Lee Travis!) He had an old Morgan with nothing but a tonau cover on the passenger side. He drove to work everyday rain, snow, sun, hail, etc just in his Biggles hat to keep his head warm.

TT

At least he had 3 wheels tho :D .....tho , yes, "Hats off " to him for being an all weather driver/rider

It was a 4 wheel one ;)

I think I would have to have full weather gear and a Heater to use a 7 year round.

Can't wait for you to be on the road Andy. Sorry to hear about the family situation. If you need anything to help with the IVA, although loads of my trim worked loose, I've still got it all in the garage!

Thanks mate :)
appreciate your offer of help, I really do:cool:

Thing is tho...My car is totally finished & IMO ready for its IVA test, when I go into the garage now I don,t even touch it really, tho I did reverse it out of the garage the other day JUST so I could give the garage a tidy up, did that & then just drove the Roadster back in & locked up ....didn,t touch the car , I did go thru a period of "looking" for things to do to it, but now ...nothing.

Its funny that .....its amazing how things start to "work loose" after a test :D

1 question tho ..... did you cover in the underside of the scuttle to prevent wandering hands poking about under the dash ? if so, what or how did you do it ?
I,ve done mine but TBH i,m not impressed with it really, it appears it,ll "work loose" at some point ;)

cheers

ey up bud,

Iv just done mine tonight with some flat grp i cut from some knackered side panels, edge trimmed it and stuck a bit of fake leather shite on it. The edge trimmed edge iv butted up to the dash and silkaflexed it. I did it with the scuttle fitted to the car though, and me bcks killing me now:D

if its ok to come and get those stamps this weekend sometime (desperate as i want to book iva soon, and i know ur upto your neck) il bring some flat sheets of grp down for you

I made some crude aluminium plates (passenger side only) badly covered them with boot carpet. Driver side cables were just tidied up. Oddly enough passenger side plates are still there. In the end decided it did make better job.
