£900 is £900 well spent when you can just unwrap it and bolt on ;)

i made my ali side pannels and rear tub and wish i had just got them off fabby. i couldnt be arsed mucking around making an ali bonet the other day so the phone was picked up and a nice shiney black one turned up the following week. job done.

Takes me a week or so to make a full body set and a pair of seats so as an idea on time scales etc if 30 odd folk are aiming to have built cars by Stoneleigh then some won't be on the road as you need time to fit it and finish the car then of course pass IVA.

Getting the finger out

I'd best be getting me finger out when you put it like that Mark

Where are those two lads of mine !!?? I need to get them cutting up some logs ( I don't mind if the lads get wet ) :D

Got the wood, got the orders, all I need is some muscle power

I'll do the hard work & deliver them :D

Not sure how long it takes to get an IVA date and didn't mean my last post to sound like "buy it now or else" I just wanted to point out these things take time and time runs away with you(well it does for me.. ) and all of a sudden it's the beginning of May and Stoneleigh show time again..

I think most firms doing Roadster stuff would struggle to make that many body kits in such a short space of time no matter how welcome the money would be.

We are almost in August and time ticking away and before we know it "it's CHRISTMAS" as Noddy would say.....

Hi, i should hopefully get the funds to buy a full fibre glass kit very soon, I hope, and still wondered what needs to be done at the rear of the car, as i havnt quite finished it and havnt yet made rp1 and rp2 so just wondered what needs to be done there. Thanks

Never even thought of that post in that way

It was a very welcome reminder of just how much and how fast time passes during the build.

I re-started my build about a month ago, was fully expecting to be where I am now in a couple of weeks !!??

Goes like this. Have breakfast, make a mental list for the day. go out to the workshop & spend an hour looking for stuff ;) Make some measurements, roll a fag, drink some tea, re-measure because I have forgotten what they were :D
That is where my days go to and why I get, not a lot done :o

your the same as me ronnie. the list in my head of things to do in a day usually takes two days after thinking time and tea/food pit stops.

andy
ps... the thought still makes me smile, reminds me of a character from Dads Army " don,t panic, don,t panic "

At least I am not as bad as my little brother

He'll stand there, think about the task in hand, have a smoke, drink some tea, spend an age taking measurements, have another think. cut the part & it dont fit :D " what the hell is up with this measure " is usually said

Brilliant Tig welder though, best alloy tig welder that I have seen to date
