i took everything off that would come off. sold the doors, boot lid. the dash was particulary valuable, centre console. ive still a box of trims in the garage. I just kept everything, nuts and bolts the lot. suppose it depends on hoe much space youve got. you cant go in my garage without being impaled on somethings sharp at the minute though  :)

I just thought get everything you can off now, then loose the shell then you can slowly whittle through whats what. remembering to remove all trace of the vechicles ID, vin plate, stamp in drivers footwell, the glass on mine was etched etc

Good luck Will

All pipes all electrics all nuts bolts etc Especially those on the prop and brakes.
keep as much as you can and flog as much as you can even if you got £20 for all the lights off it thats £20 towards your build, wait for a no insertion fee weekend on ebay and flog the lot.

sounds good guys i have not got pace enough to keep everything but ill at least get everything i need as i could do without getting impaled on things when going into the garage lol.

is there anything specific i may need to keep for my build that is not listed in the book.

The indicator relay is behind the dash and easy to miss. Not the end of the world but its another tenner to replace.

Ive had about 12 sierra's. I never bothered selling the bits on, but they are rarrer now.

I am just up the road. Mine is a scratch built locost if you ever want a look to see lay out ect.

cheers

Big Wasa i appreciate the offer and would love to take you up on that and maybe pop over to have a look if you dont mind we can discuss via pm..how far along is your build.i will look for realys and fuse box thanks for advice.

i think im just going to get what i need from it and then let it move on as i would rather crack on with the car than spending all mytime stripping bits and pieces and trying to get shot of stuff.

Yeh I allways felt there was more to life than making a couple of quid on the scrap.

Just little bits left as I get it ready for iva.

There is a classic / kit show at maxey next saturday. If the weather is good there should be a few there and only £3 per adult and under 14 free.

Are you in Peterborough or one of the villages.

Mine and only 7 years in the making lol
