Hi David:)

Hi all,
Well managed to get my rear under floor/diffuser finished. I took notice of what Phil said and with a bit of tinkering I ended up with this. All inlets are now smaller than the outlets. I've also drilled quite a few 60mm diameter holes to help remove some of the air built up in the rear tub. ![]() ![]() As you can see in the next photo some of the air built up in the rear tub can be released above the diffuser in the slot I've created. ![]() ![]() I also decided to make angled cover plates for my lower wishbones while I was at it, should now clear on full droop... |
Sorry more photos.
I'm now at the stage where I'm now removing stuff to fit parts for good... and boy that's a good feeling...LOL... I removed my rear tub to tidy my electrics and just finish stuff off. ![]() ![]() Now all suspension bolts are in place along with springs on the dampers. Also fitted the diif rubber washer thingy's. Bye for now....;) |
Hi everybody,:)
Well judging by my last post I'm classed as "MIB"......(Missing In Build). Basically work went bonkers and left no time for car. I decided to keep away from forum for a while in case I was tempted to use the little spare time I had working on the car again. My son had taken up football and daughter shows horse at weekends and missus wanted kitchen renewing so I decided to spend time with the family. I should have scored enough brownie by now to soon get on with it again. Hope to speak to you all soon with some photos... fingers doubly crossed..:D |
I'm glad your back, I'd been missing your build porn.

You have put so much hard work into your build David |
Don't do it mate:( .....cover it up and walk away for a bit, that happened to me a few times, it made restarting it feel a lot better even in little chunks. One thing is for sure your car would be up there at the top in terms of value so think of it as an investment.....here's hoping you reconsider.
|
I agree, if you don't need the money, put it in a corner and forget about it. I think you'll regret selling it one day.
|
Don't do it Johno, yours is a hugely inspiring build. Like Kev said, store it if you can and come back. Its too good to sell part finished :(
|
Please, don't sell it!

I thought about it, do I really need two nearly finished builds?, one at home, one up north at the GFs...... mmmmmm tempting.
How much £ do you think it needs on parts to get it finished? |
Hi all,
I've really enjoyed building the car and learning a lot and it's been fun talking to all you guys :) . Basically since my father passed away I have felt the need to spend all my free time with the children hence the reason at the moment for moving on. What's left to do on the car.... Purchases Seat (Kit parts direct) £100 Harness £90 Rear lights £100 Flexible brake pipes. To be honest I think that's pretty much it. |
Thanks johno, I know I shouldn't but am temped, does it start and roll? Which Luton are you, near Peterborough?
|
Hi Mike,
Haven't started it yet but donor car was a runner before putting it in Roadster. I'm live in Lutton near Spalding Lincolnshire about 30 miles from Peterborough. |
