Hey all Looooooooong time no see!!

After a few 'problems' at work my build got moved to my garage and sat there for 6 months.

Welcome back. Glad to see you are motivated again;)

Yeah back into it in a big way. With some help from Skov I've knocked up a set of engine monunts that I'll test fit tonight and tack weld in place. I'm using 4mm plate on the flat surfaces and 6mm for the 'legs' although may swap the plate for thicker but havent decided yet so any thoughts on this would be helpful.

Well quick session with the weld and out pops a set of trial fit engine mounts

not sure about the alignment though and may have some clearence issues to work round....

Any suggestions on a measurement to the crank pulley bolt from either side of the chassis?

I ended up with elongated oval holes in my engine mounts to get the alignment right:o

Think i may well end up doing the same.....

Started on the wishbone mounts yesterday with some threaded bar to get the alignment right.... my least favorite bit so far, really worry about getting them in the wrong place and the car is going to forever scrub tyres and crab. Granted I'd have to get it pretty far out to do that but still....

Also has anyone got a measurement from the center of the MX5 crank bolt to the chassis for reference on the alignment?

You should check out john's (skov) build thread and gallery. I think you'll be needing to take TR5 out. and lower it at least 40mm if it's a 1.6.

Hey, yeah I'm in frequent contact with Skov picking his brain but thanks ;)
