MIG Wire
Just ran out of MIG wire :(
I've been using 0.6 so far, but wondered if I was better off sticking with that or going for 0.8? The welder's an old Clarke 130TE if that makes any difference. Ta, |
0.8 is better as that thin stuff isn't wound too tight...bit like me really so it goes off on wobblers now and then:confused:
|
I switched to 0.6 from 0.8 last year and find it welds lots better on my CEM 160Amp mig. I've had no problems at all with it unspooling.

That's one vote each! Any other offers?
I did lose a large portion of my last reel when I took the wrapper off and it unspooled itself... |
I have 2 X .7kg rolls of .6mm wire sitting in my cupboard doing nowt :)
You are most welcome to them if you cover the postage ( £4.50 Royal mail standard parcels ) No idea how much those small rolls are to buy now as I have been using the full size rolls for quite some time now. |

I'm actually from outer space and hide my space boat behind the 3rd tree down the lane.
Going to Asda can be amusing as my space boat looks just like a box of cornflakes when the lid is locked.:D It runs on neat pee so you should see the look on humans faces when they see me taking a leak into a box of cornflakes..... |
