seems to be the same pictures as for elite, perhaps elite are using them to actually make there stuff with their moulds.
The compnay seems to specialise in GRP manufacture.

Ben_Copeland 24th June 2012 07:43 PM

He's a mate of mine.

Dave is his name. He does some excellent work. I'd suggest you go straight to equinox for the bodywork as he owns the moulds etc

The prices are due to go up next month by hundred quid for the full kit.

He's currently working on a scooped bonnet, dash with glovebox and aeroscreen.

The quality of the bodywork is excellent and not super thin like others on here, but not heavy lay either. Anyone wanting more pictures etc just let me know.

ginger nutter 24th June 2012 08:05 PM

Yeah more pictures would be good :)

flyerncle 24th June 2012 08:17 PM

Would be interesting to see if the sports 2000 body would adapt to the Roadster chassis.

Ben_Copeland 24th June 2012 08:47 PM

I'll get some pictures this week :)

He is looking at doing to chassis kit that would take the sports 2000 bodywork, that uses as much as the haynes chassis bits as possible, wishbones, laser cut plates etc. Mainly for the track, but could be set up for the road too

Let me know what you guys think, and maybe if theres enough interest it might push things along

Would it not be better to adapt the sports 2000 style bodyto the roadster chassis that way it would be a retro fit for someone who already has a chassis like Tiger have done. A few revisions to the sport 2000 body as it stands would be needed to clear the IVA. I could be very tempted by that idea and something different and thus not directly in competition with others.

BV:)

Ben_Copeland 26th June 2012 09:33 PM

Think they were looking at more track oriented, the haynes is not exactly a track weapon. BUT i'll see what he says about adapting the body, suppose it depends on the amount of work involved in the fibreglass :)

Right, the reason he cant adapt the bodywork is that its designed for the engine to be at the back with a transaxle. Donor car for engine would be audi/vw/skoda 1.8T. Using roadster suspension etc

The haynes roadster bodywork from equinox fits the haynes roadster chassis.

Its the 2000 body that doesnt

Ben_Copeland 29th June 2012 11:05 PM

The back panel has even been made so you can leave the top rear chassis tube in too...

flyerncle 30th June 2012 05:06 PM

Ben is there enough room under the front body of the 2000 to fit the engine and if so is it possible for them to make a bracket kit to adapt the 2000 body instead of a whole new chassis to plonk it on the top.

I realise its a race car body but what a road car !

Ben_Copeland 30th June 2012 08:20 PM

No unfortunately not. He tried but it just turned into a nightmare. It's designed for rear engined chassis

flyerncle 30th June 2012 09:06 PM

Nice thought,thanks for your efforts.

Kent near Canterbury. But can courier.

ginger nutter 14th July 2012 06:45 AM

I received my body work from Equinox on Wednesday and I'm really happy with it. I liked the Saturn/nts body but really wanted a flat bonnet so this was ideal. Body work was ready one week from me ordering. Dave is a very helpful chap I'd defiantly recommend using them and keep an eye on their website for new bits he is working on :)

Ben_Copeland 14th July 2012 08:12 AM

Bonnet with small vent is ready to be moulded. Then he'll do a large bonnet vent for extra clearance.

Dash and aero screens are also ready for moulding.
