I think I am gonna be having a ride down this year with my partner and my mate who is building a mev exocet and robin hood 2b

Probably gonna do a local hotel judging by the prices of camping on site!

I stayed at a hotel last year and I think it was about £50 ish. I don't know if I'm going this year as it's our wedding anniversary weekend so I don't know if I'll be able to drag the missus there again.

jps 28th January 2014 09:12 PM

I'm planning on going, probably on the Saturday.

TheArf 29th January 2014 09:24 AM

If your going down on Saturday you will be queuing for a long time as it is on Sunday and Monday, bank holiday weekend.
I will be going but not sure which day yet.

Camping for the weekend. £5 for driver, £15 for passenger. Hotel will be a bit more than that!

Includes entry too!

Isnt that just the price for kit car drivers? Thought it was more for non kit car drivers? Mind, even at that price its not far off a room at a travel lodge for a night...

After comparing diaries with my mate who is re-building a Mk1 Mini - and needs a few bits and pieces - I'll be going on the Monday. Never been to the site before - but agree with Jason - it would be nice to put names to faces - someone else will have to suggest the "Roadster Builders blind date spot to meetup" though :-D

All going well i will be going in my car to next years show. Very excited about that!
May sound a daft question, but which club stand will you guys be on? Is there a 'Haynes Roadster' area? I cant remember seeing a Haynes area last year?

PorkChop 3rd March 2014 07:34 PM

I'll be going.

Not sure which day yet though.

jason 82 3rd March 2014 07:56 PM

The Haynes Roadster stand is right next to the burger van ! Lol:D I can't wait for this one, I have a huge shopping list of stuff to get, as I am too tight to pay postage & fancy a bargain or two. Last year Stuart Mills had a Lewis Hamilton look like on his stand, it was brilliant. On a serious note, Stuart Mills is a really tidy bloke, extremely approachable & a lovely chap to top. I am sure that if anybody has any questions regarding design & fabrication, go to the MEV stand ! ;)

Is it? Smashing :D

Rally Design usually have some very good deals at the shows (they take only specific products though). CBS discount their prices by 10% at every show I've been to. A number of the other traders will do show specials.

There's also the autojumble type stalls and the tool stores there too.

flyerncle 4th March 2014 08:13 AM

Hoping to go been promising for years so this time I is going !

jason 82 4th March 2014 03:01 PM

You won't regret it ! It took me three years to go, & last year was my first ! Westfield do rides in their cars doing drifting around a figure 8 track. Truly amazing. If you are lacking motivation on your build, this is the tonic for you. Don't forget, no Exeter this year, switching to three counties show ground in Malvern , Herefordshire. ;)

flyerncle 4th March 2014 06:43 PM

Agreed Jason, things keep getting in the way but want to see if I can pick up a few bargains.

Plenty motivation as it gets me out of the house and away from the dragon but cant chuck loads of money at it.

will be good to see everybody there that goes, easily identified 6 ft 2in in a brick outhouse style.

Shorty 8th March 2014 07:33 PM

I'll be there this year. Unfortunately I'm nowhere near having a completed car to take but looking forward to seeing your cars. Will be the first time for me too
