How long do you spend on your roadster per week?
Personally I like to spend an hour or 2 on it every day, but don't manage it all the time, so probably about 10 hours a week for me!

15 hours +, but not on my Roadster :D
Kind regards John |

15+ , maybe double it too, but not on my own Roadster  andy |
Currently a couple of hours on a tuesday night is all im managing
and its soo cold out there at mo dont get much done but hopefully time and productivity will go up with the temperature Ray:) |
Its just about 6 hours on a Saturday for me, and occasionally the same on Sunday as well. Since it got cold and dark I have only spend about 2 hours a month. Hope things will speed up again soon.
As for non productive research time on the net - 2 hours a day! |
It's strangely comforting to hear how many hours people spend on their roadster makes me realise my progress ain't that bad! I normally get around 8 bu sometimes upto 12 a week.
|
During these cold months I manage about 10 to 12hrs most wk ends
Would like it to be more but work and everyday life keeps getting in the way :D |
About 15 -16 hours a week mostley at weekends but about to put on my long johns and a couple of hours in until her indoors hollers that bits supper time!

Time to start thinking about chassis no's, DVLA and VOSA. Stockton are good to deal with just watch where you park, i got clamped on one visit and had to cut the chain off on the clamp to get home......;) |
During the week before Chrimbo and Chrimbo week itself I managed about 35 hours a week on it but since then its been shoved back into the corner of the workshop. Done about an hour on it since Saturday, cut the rear hub mounting flanges off the Granada lower wishbones this morning just to try out my new gas axe:D . Got to spend some money on bits and pieces soon like tube to fab the wishbones etc.

It is nearing the top of my list of things to get sorted now, gonna ring up about chassis no. in next few days |
Write to them Mark, you will get put through to Swansea if you ring the local number and they do not have a clue. I tried a few months ago and thats what happened to me.

If you include research, planning and reading...
probably an hour a day at present. And I am about 6 months of starting the build. :D Once I am in the build cycle I envisage 1-2hrs avrage on week nights and a few more on weekends. Incresasing once the chassis is welded and I can get my ( by the time it's ready ) 6yr old out to help with the fitting up. Big problem is that I will be heavily into the planning and delivery of the I.T. systems for our new Building that opens in Jan 2011. Which will leach all my spare time and energy. TT |
I'm up in the 4-5 hours a day region. what's more worrying is if I'm not building I'm on the forum. If I spent as much time building as i do on the forum then the car would have been finished a long long time ago lol
|
well, I'm going to be spending a good few hours on it today - we're snowed in!
|
I usually get most of the weekend :), but at the moment I seem to spend at least half of that trying to work out the best positions for the alternator.
I'm sure it'll all come clear eventually. Matt |
You could have had a hours per year option :o :D
Mine build so far has been done in fits n starts Have a good couple of weeks putting 30 -40 hrs a week in.........Then get clapped out & don't touch it for months  I guess that's why I am in year 3 of my build :o |

I know what you mean about getting clapped out. Think I spend half my life like that......:D If I ain't working on my car then I seem to be doing renovations on the house. Have'nt seen my dearly beloved for a couple of weeks, So at the moment I spending about 8 hrs on the car;) |
Comes with age mate
Sometimes I don't know if I am wise or foolish  When I am feeling well, I tend to get stuck into the build big time .....Out in the workshop at 9am & not giving up for the day untill 9 -10pm Lots of hours I know but don't tend to get a massive amount of things done........Everything takes twice as long these days :( Usually burn myself out after a couple of weeks .........That said, I have tried going on at a more relaxed pace but seldom last any longer & don't get half as much done. Never mind, i'll get there in the end :) Quote:
