That,ll teach me ,

As i,m now getting close to finishing my build, there was always 1 part of it that I was never really happy with...............

My Fuel line.........I,d fitted a rubber / braided fuel pipe from the tank to the carb, it was well fitted but being totally honest I just wasn,t happy with it, with the thoughts of the IVA looming fairly soon I decided to replace my fuel line with a copper microbore jobbie.....

 what a chuffing job.......... with so much of the car now fitted out I ended up with legs in the air , arms in positions you wouldn,t think were possible, so glad I had an adjustable head rivet gun :D

So......"That,ll teach me"..........should,ve done a proper job to start with :o

Its all in & fitted now, a few grazed knuckles but I,m alot happier now :)

cheers

That'll teach you Andy. These things have a way of getting to you until you have to do something about it.
Pleased it's sorted for you now :)
p.s.skin grows back, and it's far far cheaper than an IVA re-test :D

Sure he was called Andy too,

It was always in the back of my mind that I wasn,t happy with the fuel line, & you can bet your bottom dollar, that come IVA time it would come back & bite me,
even tho the hose was certified as "Fuel hose" on the paperwork, but not printed on the hose , I would always be worried that it would cause me a problem, so , ripped it out & done a proper job  :D

My knuckles will survive , LOL

cheers

The new version of Scrapheap is pants:( and I like Dick Strawbridge as a presenter (awesome mustache:p ). Bring back Robert Lewellyn and Lisa whatever her name is with the tits:D !

Cornish Andy was supreme, along with Bowser and a few other memorable bodgers!

Lisa Rogers, No Relation to Cathy Rogers who's idea it was and who was in the firs few series.

Bench.... 15 minuets..

Look up the schedule for scrapheap ( sundays usualy ) and have a watch of some classic scrap building.

The "Meglomaiacs" were big hairy bikers ;)

I thought Lisa was Cathy's sister and Lisa took over when Cathy went to work for NASA?
For those of you that like her tits, she has got them out a couple of times. Or at least once anyway in lock stock and 2 smoking barrels. Quite nice they were too, if my memory serves me correct. I am fairly sure they came out on another occasion but I can't remember when. I am sure an internet search for "lisa Roger's tits" might be informative.
I'll let you know what I find........

HandyAndy 14th July 2010 10:27 PM

Enoch 14th July 2010 10:35 PM

I think she got some finches out and a couple of sparrows on one occasion as well as the blue tits she showed us that time on scrapheap.
What did you think I was referring to Andy:D
Still worth doing that search though.:D

twinturbo 14th July 2010 10:37 PM

Andy.. you are tasked with understanding the basics of scrap heap over the next 2 weeks.....

TT

HandyAndy 14th July 2010 10:43 PM

Enoch......:D as I rarely watch TV, I did think you were talking about Bill Oddie & his "Twitching" :D

TT, honestly, as above, I rarely watch the box, spend alot of time walking my dogs in the evenings, cooler for them etc,
BUT, I,ll have a look at this Scrapheap challenge programme...........might find some parts I need :D :D

cheers

and we all know why we dont fiddle with a diesel govener dont we "WELL" i had a go with my old 306 1.9 td and did get a bit of wheel spin in 3rd with superisingly minimal black smoke befor backing of the max fueling but i did leave the speed setter well alone tho :D
