Front wishbone group buy £100 a set

I know it seems odd offer the front and back wishbones seperatly but as people are at different stages of build I thought it made sense. If you add your name to this group buy I'll hold your order at this price till the end of November and send them when they are paid for . It might help spread the cost of buying parts if on a budget. If you want front and rear wishbones together the postage will be £15. The front plates are laser cut, tubing is 25x2 CDS 19x2mm CDS and the bush tubes are rough bored for polybushes. I'll start with 5 add names and numbers as we go?

Just checking

Hi Phil just to double check, these are coming bare, so they arrive ready to be primed and painted?
Cheers, Joe.

Yes they will be supplied in bare steel and will need degreasing with some thing like Acetone. Nothing stays clean in my workshop due to machine oil , CT90 , anti spatter spray and that horrible oil that gets smeared on all steel deliveries. If you find a fabricator with clean hands he's had 2-3 days off. Bath for one, extra bubbles please!

Any more for more or are we all done the group buy?

JHewitt 28th September 2010 01:44 PM

I am surprised there are no more takers at this price, but perhaps, it's too soon on the back of the 10 sets 3GE sold for £200, as they were snapped up.

happy customer

Just thought I would say, I received my package from Phil. I ordered basic chassis plates, suspension brackets & complete wishbone package. Came a week after I paid, and very well packaged, am currently painting them (pics will appear soon) I can say these are very good, much better than if I had attempted them myself. So if anyone was pondering ordering, I can give it a huge thumbs up.
Cheers Phil!!!!!;)

Your welcome Joe glad your happy with your parts, to those that are still waiting for theirs every thing is now in stock. The wishbones just need the spatter cleaning off and to be wrapped. Too much going on at once the past few weeks that and the place doing my laser cutting kept putting me on hold.

Got my wishbone package today and have to say I am very pleased. Thanks Phil. Got home to find them on the patio covered in what I thought was engine oil. Turns out the courier had a packet of ink "explode" in the back of the wagon.

Trouble is now they need painting and I haven't decided on a colour scheme for the car yet. Decisions, Decisions

I'm glad you are happy with your wishbones don't forget that it will all have to be degreased as parts of it are lightly smeared in anti spatter and machine coolant. Best thing you can do is use acetone and give them a light coat of etch primer before they start to rust. Did you have fun trying to unwrap them, I have boxes on order they just did'nt turn up in time.
