What a difference some paint makes...

Work got cancelled today due to snow. Which means I finally had a bit of time to do some on the build - it's been about a month since i've touched it!

So I started refurbing the wheels. They look so much better now...

After: (still needs laquer but you get the idea)

Very nice David, just goes to show you don't need to spend 500 quid on nice new alloys.

ahh, snowflakes.

They bring back memories of my old xr3i i had when i was seventeen.

This time of year is great if you've got a project on the go. I work outside so plenty of time over winter to hide in the garage on days we can't work.

What paint/colour did you use? I love that sort of anthracite colour, intend on using it on my car where I can and was thinking similar for my wheels!
Looks great!

Cheers. The colour is ford graphite grey.

Very nice David,

I had some cleaned up and sprayed black and it transformed a £40 set of alloys into some really nice wheels.

Ahhh so not the 90 Spec Alloys then, they 14" ones look fine on an XR3i but look silly on Sierras.

You would be kicking yourself now, prices on MK3 and even MK4's are going upupup especialy on XR's and RS's
