Hi Richard,

You will see my Roadster with the GRP rear tub & the aforementioned chassis framework when you collect your chassis kit , take photos if you wish etc, its all very easy once you have the steelwork ;)

cheers

Making progres

Got my tube kit on sunday and got cracking

all tubes falling nicely into the jig with handy andy's excellent and very reliable flat pack kit.

coming on well now with most of the top frame attatched and the seat backs done with a mixture of tacks and half welds all round

soon going to be time for fully welding right round

 why is it every reasonably priced doner car seems to be 200 plus miles away

never ming guess i'll just keep looking and hoping

Richard Dryden 12th April 2011 10:33 PM

me again

Got a flickr account now so photo's can be viewed and commented upon etc.

see url in signature for a look will try to keep it reasonably up to date

HandyAndy 13th April 2011 10:28 AM

Wow Richard  considering you didn,t leave my garage till about 5.30pm on sunday afternoon you certainly have got cracking with your build

have you had any time for sleep ?:D
Chassis is looking great, well done & keep the progress pics coming :)

A donor will pop up when you least expect it I,m sure.

cheers
andy

Richard Dryden 30th April 2011 09:01 PM

Cool hope yours is going okay NJ just fitted my rear suspension uprights and back grp box, started to fully weld now so progress is god so far :)

SeriesLandy 30th April 2011 09:50 PM

Your build is taking 5mins, if I were you I would have finished about 2 year ago.

Wynand 1st May 2011 04:04 PM

Enjoy your build Richard.

Richard Dryden 1st May 2011 04:28 PM

shh120m 1st May 2011 04:54 PM

looking great, youll be finished in a week!

K4KEV 1st May 2011 05:05 PM

Nice going Rich......still plenty of time to beat spuds record... seven months I believe ...some one correct me if I am wrong .

SeriesLandy 1st May 2011 05:53 PM

It was meant to be a compliment

I know what you mean though. I can't stop building mine at the moment. I've just got back into my build after a long absence (lazyness coupled with moving into 1st house and building a garden from scratch. Also converting the shed at the bottom of the garden into a garage)

If you get stuck along the way I'm sure a lot of us have been there before don't hesitate to ask any questions.

Richard Dryden 7th May 2011 07:43 PM

fully welded now

All fully elded chasis there now, took a while to get the steering support in the right area mind but got there in the end, got most of the necessary joints ground back to nice and smooth so just waiting for sonner parts and sheet metal to come now to start on fuel tank, bulkheads, and engine fitment etc, should keep me busy, but who needs sleep anyway. Even with the seats just placed in really brings the car to life :D :D :D
