I went to donnington today. My first kit car show! I didn't see any Haynes roadsters but it was interesting to see the mx5 donor gbs zero.

Had a good day yesterday some good racing to go with it, those single seater vw powered cars are great fun. Russ it was great to meet up with and talk roadster. Phil loved the t-shirt, it was like a huge target on your back, but i didnt shoot any arrows honest

arfon

p.s. it would have been the icing on the cake to have seen a haynes but hey ho its a goal for next year

Davidbolam 3rd September 2012 09:35 AM

I am going to use donnington 2013 as the goal for having my roadster completed!

Did anybody spot my roadster on the Sunday? Was parked in the club field (well till mid afternoon)
First long run out for the motor and no leaks or brake downs! After finally getting it registered the week before
Managed to buy a steering wheel from CBS to replace the sierra one but weren't hardly any other trade stands

Didn't think much of the show but the 750mc racing made up for that! Tried to get through to the paddock through the tunnel but security was too heavy!

Is it orange with a black chassis parked near the sea of Robin Hoods? sorry I can't see your photobucket.

TheArf 6th September 2012 03:29 PM

I wish I had known that you were there in the roadster I would have made an effort to come and see. I have only seen one complete and on the road and that was spuds, well tidy, I think Ayjays will be the next one I see on the road

Arfon

rich 6th September 2012 08:39 PM

Yeh that was me in the orange and black roadster parked up by the robin hoods
Was only there till around 2.30 Sunday afternoon, took the old man and was starting to drizzle and a few dark clouds were about. Sods law got back to tamworth and the sun came out!

Don't know what's happened to the photos, my mobile app keeps messing up the albums

Done about 200 miles in it now goin to work and back

Car runs ok, still trying to dial the suspension in, seems to want to wander over the bumps but not bad considering it's all been set up by eye,
