Peugeot 206 help needed

Hi Guys,

My daughter has just passed her test and has bought a 1998 Peugeot 206 LX 1.4 (Petrol) MOT failer.
The car has quite a few problems, which i can sort, all except one.
The car drives well, except it won't idle/tick over.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

idle control valves are prone to failure.

as said check for air leaks on inlet manifold (vac pipes etc) and read ecu codes if nothing can be found to see if that gives you any clues

Only joking, I'm going to stop there before I get hit :D

I can understand that putting you off them, it's not a bad car but I don't think I'd get another one!

I got a 206 for my daughter and she loves it, she has driven it for 3 years now and the only thing that f@@ked up was the lightswitch on the stalk.

Change of plan, I'm not building a roadster now. I'm going to dash home and desperately attempt to build an armoured tank on a budget!
