Its all doom and gloom :(
Not good, everyone on here looks as depressed as i am. Iv been trying to get everything sorted and slowly but surely things are coming together, il soon be debt free and ready to begin living again. Im off work due to illness at the moment so i thought id try and cheer myself up
Spent the day Resurrecting the roadster, spent an hour with peter lee going through my build. He drove up to spud to collect his body kit this morning and came through to see me on the way home so i thought it would be rude not to get the battery charged and dust off the beast. Some pics of the car now finished. I had the head off again today to finish porting, just have to finish off the exhaust valve seats and its ready for some forced induction when finances finally allow ( anyone have a free turbo going?) Im glad I have made the cage low, i was given a free windscreen from an old robin hood, along with a pile of roof material, so as soon as its got a roof il be using it as a daily driver as opposed to the train Heres some pics of bumblebee the destroyer!!!.... ![]() ![]() ![]() Heres some pics of the bumblebee...... |
![]() Ignore the missing brake caliper, the b@stard siezed up so i had it off, handbrake is more than enough stopping power:eek: |

One step at a time :)
I hope to have built one of those one day, got to teach myself tohow to lay a decent weld first tho  |
Thats one citroen, the missus drove her saxo through a " small puddle". The small puddle was infact a lake, one that was up to my waist. Wait a mo, il upload the video......
Cant get my phone to upload it. But basically i took the air filter off, and it was full of water, so i dropped all the fluids and pulled the head off. I couldnt even turn the crank with a bar to lock the timing holes, so pulled the belt straight off and undid the head bolts. Upon lifting the head off i was greeted by every cylinder full of water to the top. I didnt want to go any further as i knew it would have bent a rod, so i tried to pop the wet liners by trying the starter motor. Nothing, propper siezed so got £180 off the scrap man today. |
One out of two is not bad for a citroen, car looks good.;)

Car looks nice Nathan, especially engine bay. Just need to change bonnet to yellow and scuttle to black. Hint..........Hint.
I've got a slight second black scuttle here if Richard doesn't want it. Andy |

Good few years ago it rained for weeks on end, when 2.0 ltr 406 was fairly new.
Guy drove through the same deep water twice, second time it drank a few gallons of water and fooked the third piston. Seen a Passat diesel bend a rod with water in it. Citroen and Poorjoe inlets a really low |
