Cam and followers

Good evening everyone.
I have purchased a new cam and followers for my ford pinto 2ltr. My question is has anyone fitted these before and how hard is it?
Also if anyone has done this before how do you fit them?
Would be gratefully for any comments.

Slacken all the adjusters off and remove the rockers, the cam comes out the back of the head.

Refit it and put the rockers over the ball seats and re-adjust.

Use some cam lube and oil liberaly before you start it up,fresh oil and filter will not go amiss either.

Cheers flyerncle.
Problem is when I got my engine it didn't have the cam or followers in so don't even know how it's meant to look. And re adjust it to what?
Sorry about my uselessness.

Rockers fit on top of the valves with slot over the top and the ball sit's on the adjuster, once the cam is replaced turn the point upwards on each lobe and adjust the gap between the rocker and round part of cam, should feel like pull of strong magnet when its right.

It is easy to over adjust them so take a bit of time, cant remeber what the gap is probably 10 thou inlet and 12 exh but dont quote me on that,TT is ford guru.

It is fairly easy to do so dont get too worried about it.

From what you say I think you need to google pinto cam fitting
Also be aware of how to time the cam
If you truly are very new to engines and cams
