Koso Rx2n
Hi all
amongst my purchases yesterday i bought a Koso Rx2N digital dash http://www.digital-speedos.co.uk/rx2...lity-485-p.asp The wiring all looks fairly straightforward but i was wondering if there was any thing that i need to be aware of (obviously for those that have wired them in) I also bought a lockable aero fuel cap, rally design was doing them for £50 including fixings gaskets etc |
If your having a battery isolater switch I wired the main feed for the dash direct to the battery via a fuse, otherwise when you isolate the battery you loose the clock
I managed to buy a new coolant temp sensor for the dash yesterday cuz the wires came out show price £5 :) |
I forgot to say the dash don't include a battery charge light, most alternators will need a warning light to excite the unit. And also you will need a handbrake/low fluid level warning light for IVA
|
Could you wire the handbrake to the neutral light and also could you wire the alternator to the eobd light if you where not using management
|
The alternator will need exciting through a bulb, I think the warning lights in the dash are led's
If you want to use the n light make sure the circuit is switched earth usually is on a bike |
I used the same speedo on mine, very easy to set up but you might need an adaptor for your fuel sender to make the gauge work properly. Worth checking with Digital speedos before you get too far into you wiring.
|
I don't think my wiring has a set up for revs do I have to do the wire round the plug thing like it says in the instructions
|
When I saw the title of this thread I thought we'd been spammed again:D
|
You can wire it to negative side of the coil and just set the correct number of cylinders
|
Cheers rich
the wire set for rpm has 2 wires 1 has an eye crimped on it do I leave this unconnected and connect the other wire to neg on the coil thanks |
