sierra mx5 combination

Hi Guys,

Does anyone see any issues with using an mx5 steering rack with xr4ti
(sierra) uprights and steering column ?

Escort Mk 1 & 2 parts not available this side of the pond !!

I can get a new quick ratio mx5 rack for $50 which I think is a pretty good deal.

I have some new xr4ti track rod ends which could be adapted via the correct threads on the rack extensions.

Cheers

Nigel

The MX5 rack is about 7" too long for a roadster/locost so its quite a bit of work to shorten it.

Heres an example.

Thanks for the reply, I guess I'll keep on looking for a while, the wife might be going to the UK later in the year, I may have her pick up an escort rack & save the $125 on shipping !!

Cheers

Its probably worth asking the LocostUSA guys what they are using? Theres bound to be something that will fit without (much) modification.
