Upper harness mounting bolts

Am I right in thinking that if I have the mounting fitments without the clips that they can be fitted with a bolt rather than the eye bolts?

i'd like to see you try and attach a non-clip belt end to an eye bolt!

Correct -make sure the bolts are 8.8 and fixed with loctite .

Jps, bad description by me, the mounts are like two plates with hooks that when they go together make a mounting hole with an extra hole in the centre to fix them together, presumably supposed to be a split pin but I'm going to find a nice dome headed bolt and lock nut. Looks like they could be used for either mounting but thinking the single bolt would be a lot easier and better

Sounds like these.

Dont think you will be able to bolt those in they will have to use eyes.

It looks like theres not enough room for the right size bolt to pass through let alone one with a collar to allow them to swivel.

That's the beasties, do they bolt to the lower points solidly or by the same method?

Stot 24th July 2013 09:25 AM

It would be eyes at the bottom too.

Sorry Russ, I was being a smartarse!

I think stot is bang on, they'll have to be fitted to eye bolts if they look like those in the pic, might be easier for you to get some different belts, not sure if the eye bolt mounts for the lap belts would eat into the already precious space down there?

Cheers
John
