Cheap Tyres
 

Went to do a car boot on Sunday, coming home at 60MPH in my lightly loaded van and I hear the biggest explosion this side of Iraq followed by the van slewing across the road. Here's what my tyre now looks like :(


Tried to get the wheel off but somehow the brace was a 22mm instead of 24 so had to call the breakdown people out.
the tyre was a cheap Delfin brand, the guys at the tyre shop had never seen anything like it apart from on lorry tyres.
Looks like a false economy to me, imagine what that would have done to a fibre glass wing:eek:
