1800 Ford Pinto Engine package.
This engine came from a 1987 sierra with 44k miles on it. Sine installation it has done a further 1500 miles in my roadster. Engine includes flywheel, clutch and dust plate. Alternator is included and has a modified mount to clear the steering shaft in a roadster. Also included are the engine mount arms and sierra rubber mounts. Before I put it in my roadster I changed the cambelt and alternator belt. Cam spray bar has been changed. Tappets checked and reset. Trigger wheel has been added to the crank pulley and a bracket and cam sensor are included. The distributor has been cut down to retain the oil pump drive. Crank breather has been changed to a burtons elbow. Thee sump has been shortened and extended forward - about 6 months ago a tiny weep developed along the corner weld on one side of the sump. Knowing the engine was coming I put some steel seal on it but just needs a bead of weld running over it. Hand a new filter and oil change 400 miles ago. With the engine I can also include the engine age letter from ford. Engine flew through the IVA with no problems. This would make an ideal engine for someone looking to build a car for IVA. Has been a great engine and I've had lots of fun with it. Only selling as I am swapping for a Duratec - If your interested make me an offer. Collection is from South Wales, just off M4 J34. Also have a Pinto to type 9 bellhousing I will chuck in with the engine.
