Im finding some of the local papers etc the best place to find doners. eBay and autotrader seem to be a bit over priced, but sites like Gumtree seem to offer a fair amount of choice for around the £300 mark. Got plenty time really so will just stick it out and see what turns up.

the right donor will turn up when you least expect it to, don,t pay too much for it tho.
so have you decided that you are going to build a Roadster?

yep, pretty much decided on going ahead with it. Still waiting on the book coming through, but from drawing up a rough budget/cost outline, the amount of info/support available on this site, and the lack of financial risk involved with the Roadster build, i cant really see any downside to doing it.

The only thing that does make me have a bit of a second thought is the fact i havnt seen anyone with a completed Roadster yet.

all valid points to go ahead with the build, also having not seen a Roadster in the flesh is a fair point, if i may say.... when i first saw a completed Roadster & went for a spin in it as a passenger i made my mind up before i got out of the car, they really are as good as they look in the book, & also there is scope to add your own touches to them, like interior & spec etc, depends how much you wish to spend really, if you can get to the stoneleigh kit car show this coming weekend there will be a few Roadsters there i believe.
just to help put your mind at rest on how many are currently being built, in a recent(this week) group buy of roll bars there was an order placed for 15 & another order about 2 months ago for a similar qty so they are out there getting built, so its real & not a pipe dream.
hope this helps.
