alpha romeo

had anyone used an alfa romeo on a build before? particularly one where the gear box is at the rear of the car

If you are doing an search you might want to try spelling it as Alfa. Not being humorous or anything, just that search engines can be a bit fussy about spelling

The problem with this sort of car is that the gearbox needs to be where your behind is, the Porsche 924 is another that has been considered and as far as I know no one has built one.

You could extend the wheel base to fit the gearbox in but it would look decidedly odd ;)

Cheers

Hi

I asked the same question on the locost website. Problem is with the length of the transaxle and the width of the clutch. Here is the link to my question there and some interesting pictures of someones car, they actually did it. Very interesting, but not quite my cup ot tea.
