Total weight of the car

I was weighting our car during this weekend and it turned out it has 700kg (1540lbs). It was quite a surprise for me because I was counting that it will be around 500kg (1100lbs). What is your weight of the car?

4 Sets of cheap bathroom scales ;)

Assuming they each go to about 30 stone, should be good for about 760kg

They will also give you a good general idea of your individual corner weights

Indeed they will, if the floor is level or you level up each corner first. I know Bonzo knows this, but I thought I would mention it for the benefit of others.

Vinyl floor tiles are good for the levelling, nice and cheap, consistent thickness and they don't compress.

Anyone else who knows his weight of the car :)

Mine through SVA at 512kg with a Toyota 4AGE engine.

Personally, I think that says more about the accuracy of their weighing than the featherweight build I created! :D

hm that is a very good weight, we have made it exactly according to the book with 2 mm chassis tubes and the weight is almost 200kg more, we used M42B BMW engine 1.8L but I doubt that this is the reason...
