Head light mounts.

Hi I have been making my headlight mounts because I thought it might be best to weld these in before I fit my wishbones and possibly get weld spatter on them below.

Trouble is I cant make out how long they are supposed to be in the book, unless I am missing something.

How far should the protrude either side? to headlamp mounting hole.

Cheers.

P.S got my oval tube from ikea bargain corner, 10p!

I don't want to be that guy.... But you can search for all this lot, this forum is a wealth of information. Whats worse is around 10 posts down is the recent discussion, complete with drawings, of the headlamp positions, centre points etc.

Cheers for the link.
I did spend 10 mins searching and failed to find anything useful, tried several searches.

Thanks Chris

Think the info for this must have been demolished my the site invasion.

Does anyone have info on where the headlight mounts should be positioned, and a rough idea of distance between the holes in them? I think they need to be wide enough, without touching wheels?

Thanks in advance guys!

Have a look at the 2 pics, they show all the lighting positions really well.

For the headlights as long as they are within 400mm from the outer edge and 500mm from road level of the car that's all you need. The rest are pretty straight forward....;)

Silly point, why not just remove the wishbones before welding in the headlamp brackets??

However, a simple search for "Lights" turned this up

Hope that is what people are looking for
