How long to the brake flexis have to be?

I had 4 x 500mm long ones made up by Russboot over on LocostBuilders. Mine go through the body work on the side panels though (As per the book) Although AshG mentioned you may be better off fixing them to the side panel its self.

They have to be long enough to reach from the brakes to the solid pipe.
Snigger, titter, gufufle.:o

Mine are 450mm long.
Be aware that the flexi on the rear needs to be a banjo type.
Or a short length of solid from the drum.

mine are 450mm for the front & 400mm on the rear (with hard pipe from backing plate to the upright).

Think from the dimensions on brakes Int , that mine will be too short. Owill fit one of the sierras though ;)

you should be able to use them on the rear at least, as you can just cut the tabs off and weld them on further out if needed.

TT, as you are intending to fit a GRP rear tub, the new box tube thats needed for the GRP is an ideal place to mount the end of the hard brake line, then attach the flexi to the rear upright then a hard pipe to the backing plate of the drum / or disc caliper,
thats how i,ve done mine ;)

cheers
