Saving PM's

Somebody is bound to know the answer to 2 forum queries:

1. I keep deleting pm's that i come to need later for info, is there any way of saving PM's to your own computer. I think the term is archiving them?

2. Can we put Avatars next to our profiles now, i see Chris G has one but nobody else has?

Thanks in advance (If anybody knows).....AndyH

All you could do is cut and past into a word document or something.

Avatars are turned off.

Actualy you can select download as ( Text , CSV or XML ) by ticking the messases and then selecting the option at the bottom.

Text may be best, although you could try csv, pasting the result into excel.

Yes Cheers Rob, just tried that and 'download all pm's as txt' seems the best way. Can only save all pm's as a single txt file, but just for archiving could save all 50 then delete them and start again.

Didn't realise it did that

Do download as CSV,

when you get the save/open popup. Do open

It will open it in excel. one message per line.

save it to a file.

create a new file for every new batch you download.
