Rear uprights
 
Hi can someone help me I am trying to work out which way ru7&ru8 are positioned.I am using brake drums if I go with pics on page 69/70/72 and offer up the drum assembly the bleed niple will be to one side where as if I use pic on page 74 the bleed niple will be at the top where it normally is.Can anyone which one is right as I dont have much hair left to pull out.Thanks Aidan

Hi Aidan

If you are using the first edition of the book, the drawings were noted wrong.

Here's a picture of some of my suspension components .... You may just be able to see which way the plate goes for drum brakes



The small flat edges sit in the upright horizontal for drum brakes & vertical for disk brakes :)

My Uprights are made for drums & have been test fitted on the rolling chassis, all is as it should be ;)

Hi Ronnie thanks for the picture your right I bought the book 3 years ago in detling.Have them tacked up now I did not know there were any amendments for the uprights.

At least you noticed the problem before you had them fully welded up :eek: ;)
