Enoch's been building again
Hi folks, just updated me build diary. Went away on hols and was not allowed to take the car so lost a weeks build time. Have fitted the alternator, rear shocks, fuel pump and exhaust, see part 5 of my diary at www.deepfolly.co.uk
for words and pictures. Next job will be to fit the inlet manifold and all the engine wiring. Not long till the first attempt at starting........ |
Looking good Dave, you're putting the rest of us to shame with the rate of your build:D . Soon have it running mate:p .

Well Done Dave, thats a hell of a build diary and some real good progress made - if it was too easy everybody would be building one. Like the use of your words, cant imagine you coming out with such expletives.
Love the following quote: "The nose cone I bought from them makes me want to rub my thighs in a suggestive manner every time I see it, I should imagine that the side panels will make my knees wobble" Would love to put that up on the website as customer feedback, made me laugh which takes some doing this time of morning. Regards.....AndyH |
Every time I look at your diary Enoch the car seems to be jumping forward in giant leaps - I am very jealous - wish mine progressed that quickly. Out of interest how many hours a week do you spend on the car?
|
Well thanks for all the kind words, guys. I do spend a fair bit of time on it but have never really sat down think about exactly how many hours I put in. I run two businesses so don't have as much spare time as I would like. I think the secret is to plan things so that as far as you can you only do things once. Last car I built I was always undoing things so I could get at other things where I had not planned in enough detail, doing stuff twice adds significantly to the build time. Reading this forum helped enormously as I had read about all sorts of pitfalls before I fell in to them.
I reckon I could have it finished this summer but will most likely ease off a bit and aim to get it registered next spring. I want to build a trailer for it so I can take it to IVA and registration. All the best, Enoch. Andy, feel free to use any comments you like:D |
