GRP rear tub plans
Hay again is there any grp rear tub plans as i dont want to have to make anything then cut it all off :D
|
This is basically what we did with Mark's back end :D when he first did it, we just made the chassis up to RS14, then extended backwards 230mm. This section is 100mm short of each end to allow for the radius on the tub.
![]() Can be seen here on Layotn20's chassis, which is the one we originally made for Mark (aka Fabbyglass, Triton Race Products) http://www.haynes.co.uk/forums/attac...8&d=1273428132 Kind regards John |
Great thanks a load mate :D

Handy can do the kit of bits if you don't have the steel,
I have to cut up my chassis to get it to GRP spec. TT |
There is another thread giving the dimensions that I came up with when fitting my GRP rear tub, as at the time the above drawing wasn,t available.
I,ll have a search for the thread & post up its location, might be useful to cross reference with the above drawing from 3GE. cheers andy |
The thread I have mentioned above is in the "Bodywork/interior" section, 5th page & titled "Question about Fabby,s / Saturns rear end".
In the thread is a photo of the rear of my chassis & dimensions & a drawing showing dimensions & position of steel framework for the GRP tub, fits like a glove :) cheers andy |
