Stumbled across this diagram and thought it might be useful when people come round to wiring up their hazards.

I've also attached a couple of diagrams here of the column pinouts which I've been finding useful. Another one to watch out for is that the sidelights are +ve switched, while the mainlights are switched -ve just to confuse things!

Hi there, just started wiring my switches up but have found that the black / brown earth going to the hi / low beam switch is always at earth, regardless of what position the side light / light on switch is in. I thought it should only go to earth once the lights are on. My lights are therefore always on but do switch from hi to low with the hi low switch:confused:
Can anyone confirm this? I think my switch is knackered.

Forget that last post, I did not realise that the wire split in two, the other end of the unused part was shorting to earth - problem solved:)
