steering column center?

Hi all.
Can anyone give me a hand and work out the center of the steering column in relation to the center line of the chassis? im using a granada column so the mounts are different also my chassis is a bit different so having a hard time trying to work out exactly where i should put the column. Also this will help me position the plate that the column goes into.

Surely you would want the steering column in the centre of the drivers side of the car.(middle of TR 9 section on drivers side)

yep, as above, the transmission tunnel is different both sides, so the center of the chassis wouldn't work.

The center measurement of the drivers footwell/steering mount can be worked out looking at cp16 (or cp17 I think) it is in the back of the book.

According to my cad model it is 290mm from the centerline of the chassis to the steering column centerline.

Cheers

Dave
