Shock fitting

Hi, Having problem with fitting a set of Gaz shocks bought from Rally Design. The lower wishbone mounting bracket fowls the shock so the fixing bolt won't go in. If I removed some metal from the bracket it looks like it would fit, but would rather not do that. Anyone had a similar problem, or have I bought the wrong shocks

Don't panic, I do not think you have bought the wrong shocks :)

If you bought your shock brackets pre bent, it is likely that they are made to a slightly revised spec.
Unfortunately on the front lower wishbone the inner edge of the bracket tends to snag on the body of the shock.

I had to re-profile the radius of the mounting bracket a little as I had the same problem .... Certain sure that the brackets are still perfectly safe & my shocks now fit like a glove :)

Thanks Ronnie....I thought that may be the case. The last 5% of this car build is more hassle than the previous 95%!!!

I know what you mean .... Sometimes it's the silly little jobs that can end up causing you nightmares

I bet once you get in the car & drive it for the first time, you'll forget all of the bad moment's of the build :)

At least I flippin hope so :D

I'm sure you're right on that one...off to attack the wishbone now!
Cheers :)
