suspension builders

hey there, i just purchased my own copy on how to build a roadster. i cant wait to start building, but.... i dont think i have the skill to make the suspension arms.

Is there anyone who can make them for me? and how much would it be?
i've checked on ebay seems a bit expensive.

bit confused on the rear uprights does that have to be made or can you use an upright from a donor car?

without this forum i wouldnt get far so thank you

are you talking about the wishbones? where abouts in the uk are you?

there are a couple of places that you can buy them from. i can highly recomend talon (who is on ebay), there is also 3ge & saturn who make them. i think that the prices are all about the same (ish?) though

or.... have a look herer http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/view...php?tid=142237

I'd say the skills needed to make the wishbones are comparable with those needed for the chassis itself. I used the box jig a-la-Talon, ground the mitres with an angry grinder using templates from tubemiter.exe. I had the threaded tubes made, bush tubes trued up on a lathe, other than that it was a pleasant job, totally within a reach of a hobby DIY'er. If you mess up it's not hard to remake one, or get them made if all else fails.
