Todays job was pedal bushes and clevis's

My little boy is turning into an engineer

He made these for me today

They come out like this, Im well chuffed

They didnt all come out right first time

At 50p an inch letting him make me things out of delrin could get very expensive!!!

Well done TJ that was worth the effort

He has enough delrin left over to make six more if anyone wants some

Cheers Les G

Don't waste those Delrin turnings .... Get TJ to make you a Santa Clause beard :D :D

cheers Bonzo
yea we had a great day
when i was down at your place i realised i
had sprayed the chassis rails and forgotten to put
in the lower seat belt points gulp i did feel silly
could not bring myself to tell you so i made them while TJ
made the pedal bush's on the lathe....
TJ says i could use swarf for a wig when i go bald
cheeky runt......
but i,m really proud of him his ability to pick things
up quickly still surprises me , this was his first go on a lathe
i know a pedal bush is a simple thing to machine
but he got a good handle on it right away
gonna have a nice glass of wine now
cheers les g

Well done TG, turning plastic is one of my favorite jobs, guess its because I can't ruin the machine tool tips with plastic or alli !

No shame in that Les :)

I still have a pile of bit's n bob's to weld & alter on the chassis .... I guess it's all parr for the course on a first build ;)

Nice to hear that TJ has an aptitude for turning .... Still looking for Juniors tallents :D

Nick

You want to see some of the tooling that I have FUBAR'ed turning alloy :o
