Hi Steve,

I also have the CVH engine & alt, if your wiring still has the 3 nuts on the ends then they should also have the small "plates/guides" attached to them & so when they are offered upto the alt connections they can only fit 1 way, as the alt has small plastic channels where the wires connect to the threaded studs that the nuts attach to ,
well thats how mine works.

hope this helps.

cheers

hi Andy
unfortunately i have decided to use an alternative loom. got 3 wires that are ready to connect to alternator but dont know which way to connect. i know 1 will be for the dash warning but which one? and what are others?

My apologies Steve, I thought you were using the original loom.

My car isn,t at home, if you don,t get the info you need sooner then I,ll check my wiring to the alt & post back on here tomorrow morning.

Maybe TT would know, I,m sure he,ll be along soon.

cheers
andy
