Nice work Rob,before you go any further the upright on the left of the pedal box/where your feet go is in the wrong place it needs to go to the left.

Classic mistake made by many, myself included.

Good luck.

Great work

That is a cracking bit of progress :) :)

Sitting in the chassis going brum, brum, brum in only 2 day's, how cool is that :D

That is the advantage of the flat pack chassis route

WOW  Thats fantastic progress Rob, if you keep this pace up you,ll be finished before me :D

Thanks for your kind words, I,m just pleased that you are enjoying building the chassis,

The part that Paul ( Flyerncle) is referring to is part U7, tho it all depends on the size of the gearbox being fitted ;) to its position.

Keep up the great work & keep the in progress photos coming.

Did you go "Brum Brum" sat in the drivers seat?:p

Pass on to your mate Andy......does he want a Roadster now? LoL

cheers
andy

i have them there at the moment as im not sure how much clearance i have for my gearbox. u7 and u8 and sb4's are only in temporary atm until i can get my engine and box and diff mounted.

:)

andy says he wants to do a cossie transit van before a roadster and its cheaper to watch me do it ! :D

flyerncle 15th October 2010 09:29 PM

I had fully welded U7 (thanks Mr Flatpack)so it was a head scratcher when I tried to fit the pedal box, quick call to Handy sorted it.

thats excellent Rob, too many Andy's in your post though - we'll have to have a big and small Andy, height though nothing else.....:D

Looking really good, got to get a crash hat like your welding mask will look the part when blasting around the country lanes.

Knowing you Rob you will soon have a rolling chassis, think you've already got it all planned out on all your bits of paper.

Well Done.....AndyH (Big)

yeah sorry for bending your ear at stafford spud ! was great to get it all ironed out :D

we shall say my andy is "fat" andy leaves tall andy to you and handy andy !

ive already got the crash hat for my bike
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/STREET-FIGHTER...em563 fa19018

but its matt black i suppose i could get it airbrushed to match the welding lid :D it gets enough looks as i blast past or at the lights .

having a break now for the weekend got some house jobs to do but i may get out there again at some point
