FAO: Spikehaus, bell housing.

Hi Spikehause,

hauled my v6 in tonight and my brlhousing by the clutch arm seems very tight.

Is yours built to normaly type 9 tunnel width?

Are your GM1&2 in the place dictated by the width of the original sierra gearbox mount, or have you made alterations?

I think I am going to have to make some mods to get the box over to the side a fraction.

Hi Twin,

My transmission tunnel was a bit tight on the clutch fork release arm cover, however I just mounted it has far back a possbile (and I used a gear lever extension)

I pit it down to trying to put to large an engine in the chassis!

Have you removed the cooling fan yet?

I had to remove the cross rail with a 1 mm grinder dis to get it in!

Fan was binned months ago..

I have not got the fork on the box which makes working out if it's too close abit of guess work. May have to split the engine off and put a fork on to see.

I would bring it forward more but the 2.9 Plenum is a bit more obtrusive at the front than the 2.8.. I wonder if I can rotate it 180 degrees..
