newbie with questions

Hi all
ive not got my book yet so can i ask a few opinions please
the car to be built will be a track , hillclimb car trailerd to events so no need for the mot and tax....
Can the chassis take over 300bhp or will it need extra struts ?
My options for doners are nissin skyline gtst (2.5 turbo straight 6)
or subaru imprezza (ej20 flat four ) So how much space do i have to work with in the bay ?
ive seen the odd nissan sr20 units used but not seen the rb25 unit does any one have one (or treid to and failed if so what was wrong )
will the hubbs be useable as id like the brakes and extras to help keep costs down
Thanks Mark

Hi Mark, welcome I am quite new to the forum too, but from reading other posts and threads you are not the only one going down this 'different' route, if you type Nissan or Subaru into the 'search' box at the top of the screen, you will pull up previous threads from other users, you could maybe contact some of them for advice, or I am sure they will pop up here shortly when they read this.:)
Good luck.
Joe.

Welcome Mark,
The book will advise you all the way to making your roadster road legal, if thats the road you want to take. If not then its pretty much trial & error with some forum help! The search results/blogs will help you decide on your donor choice.

What ever you decide Good Luck, it'll drive you nuts!!

There is one guy determined to make a Roadster around RB25DET, but that requires stretching the engine bay by some 20 cm!
