Big Grin

I decided to tidy my garage today, a few new tools have recently been purchased & you know how it is........cardboard boxes / wrapping etc etc.....the garage was starting to look a bit untidy, couldn,t see the Roadster as its under a car cover but had been covered in boxes (empty ones)....

Anyways, had a good tidy up, uncovered the Roadster, opened up the up/over door, turned the fuel on, flicked the isolator switch......and she started up first go, well chuffed :D

reversed it out of the garage( haven,t driven it for about 10 weeks), must admit, it felt great to drive it again, it had to be done ......had to go to the end of the cul de sac to turn it around ;) .

finished tidy up of the garage then had a play with the new toys, wow.....the plasma cutter is great, like hot knife thru butter springs to mind.

sorry for my waffle , but came away from the garage with a big grin on my face, roll on the nice weather post IVA time :)

cheers

Cool

Nice one Andy, I bet you wasn't expecting the Roadster to start that easily & yes of course, it would have been rude to not have turned it around in the cul-de-sac :D :D

Quite geen with envy mate, I am still lolling about the house, doing nowt :o

Did manage to go out to the workshop on boxing day to play with my new tool chest & now my drawers are nice n full .... Ohh err mrs

You,re spot on there Ronnie, I don,t know why but, I didn,t expect the Roadster to start first go, I mean, there,s no reason why it shouldn,t, I suppose its that moment of "will it / won,t it" ....but happily it did

So so true, would,ve been rude not to, :D just to make sure everything was still working as it should ;)

Nothing better than having FULL drawers ......nice shiney tools all laid out tidy :D

You,ll soon have a bit more in your workshop.......saying no more.......but Carol knows ;)

cheers

But then my everyday car broke down, the day before someone's coming to collect it (sold a few days ago). Doh!

Plasma cutter eh?

I love playing with new garage "toys". I got an auto-darkening welding helmet for Christmas. Went to try it out on boxing day and my trust old SIP handymig died, typical.

Well, at least now I have an excuse to go buy another TIG welder.

You can say that again Andy, it certainly makes a change to have some of my tools stored in a more orderly fashion .... The biggest challenge for me is to keeping it that way :o

Still have some crimbo money left & thought it would be nice to treat myself to a few more new tools.
Has now dawned on me, other than Halfords, there is nowhere local to me that sells a decent selection of tools

Never mind, I am sure that i'll be able to spend it on the Roadster with no problem .... Quite fancy a Plasma cutter though :D

David 17..... thats a great video , your Roadster sounds great , well done mate  must come over & have a Roadster natter :)

Sam.......absolutely no reason not to get that new Tig you,ve been after ;) maybe getting the Auto darkening mask was fate .

Ronnie, as forum member Shaun,s signature says "you can never have enough tools "

Have been reading about your workshop electrical upgrades you have planned, sounds like a great plan, as others have said, it really does sound like a nicely equipped workshop too.

Hmmm... Tidying the garage.. Avoiding that at the moment as there's too many things in there!

tidied mine up yesterday to start making my new exhaust. by 5pm it was a mess again. plus side the exhaust is almost done. just got to mount the charge cooler and oil cooler. hook up the water system fit the new fuel pump and wire it all up. not too much to do in a week.

Ash, are you still meticulously documenting every step?
