Back to work today...

just had 10 days off over Christmas/new year, but back to the grind today. Well at least in my time off I got a bunch of stuff done.

Got the engine running
made the wiring loom
headlights - working
sidelights - working
tail lights - working
indicators - working
hazards - WIP
cooling fan - working
instruments - working

just gotta do the reverse light, fog lamp, brake lights, brake warning lights and the horn and the wiring is complete! I can then at last finish the bodywork, make the interior and it's done!!!

problem is finding the time now I'm back in work, bugger.

I got the pedals connected up, both side panels fitted, brakes bled, front suspension all bolted up, wheels painted and back on, exhaust finished, engine idling and a bit of wiring finished off.

Wish the holidays could have lasted a bit longer. lol. :o

Today was my first day back at work after a two week holiday, trouble was I came down with Flu on day one and have been about as much use as a wet blanket for the entire two weeks:( . I did go down the workshop for half a day early on in the holiday as Triff was bringing my Granada mushrooms over that he had made for me. Sadly they've spent the fortnight sitting on top of one front wheel.

Good news is today I was back and have done a bit, I've fitted the new mushrooms and they're perfect (thanks Triff, lovely job;) ). I've cut off the bottoms of the new roll bar so it sits flat onto its base plates and it looks superb, thanks Ash (happy birthday BTW;) ).

Before thre holiday I dragged the Dragon out of its corner ready to work on it, i pulled the motor out and dropped the sump off ready to take 2" off it. This afternoon I gave it a thorough clean up ready for cutting and welding.

I've also spent a couple of hours stripping out our new exhibition trailer which only has to be ready for the end of April, sounds a long time away but there's loads to do to it: chassis needs de-rusting and painting, body needs painting in company colours, brakes and wheel bearings need overhauling, floor needs some attention. Then its all got to be wired up and kitted out to display our wares at shows. Who knows maybe we'll bring it to Stoneleigh and use it as a Roadster display, anybody with any good quality video of roadsters in action or first startups keep 'em as we'll have the ideal medium to display it all:D .

Now relaxing with a brandy and watching the famous and fearless, D.
