I was wondering if any one could tell me what the pit falls of making the wishbones yourself are? I am aware of the revised rears. Also noticed that the jigs in the book are short, but can they still be used if they are extended 10mm?

Fortunately I have a milling machine but I might use it to make sure I haven't made any massive mistakes. I am wondering if I could use 2.5 mm wall thickness for my bush tubes or will there not be enough interference this is a stock size of cold drawn so it would be easier to buy this rather than bore some specially for the job.

Good luck! The wishbones aren't very hard to make, especially if you've got a milling machine! Oh, and Talon's jig is great:

I would say the wishbones are easier to make than the chassis, just take care when welding......too much heat and they will distort.

And don't clamp them up when welding either

Adjusting the bush tubes to allow for welding distortion won't work as the wishbone arms will move in an arc so the bush tubes will no longer be aligned.

Weld sequence is the key as one weld can counter act another

does anybody have the dimesions for Talon's jig please :)
