I am a complete nob with mathematics especially angles !! So my question is when tube mitre asks me what angle the mitred tube meets the other tube what angle am i going to use ? should be a paintshop pic below...no to gid at that either !!!

I would expect the templates to the the same for both angles. I used acute angles everywhere and it worked fine.

it wont work with compound angles. i fettled one side down bit by bit until it fitted then used a piece of paper to make a template of it which i then turned inside out to get a mirror effect

Ah, compound angles, now I get it. Yep, tubemiter.exe only works for tubes on the same plane. If the tubes are on the same plane (their axes intersect) you have to work out the angle on that plane.

pipemaster tool

nifty tool, I think it would be easy to make one from a bunch of welding rods, a piece of pipe and a couple rubber bands or O-rings.

If you scroll down on the page, this is a useful tube bender, it bends 3/4" tube to a tighter radius than a conduit bender.
