Driveshaft issues?
 

This is going to sound odd but ideas are welcome. Sites with products would be great.

Does anyone know of a way I can have a drive shaft come out of the diff go forward 40cm of 50cm then go out from there to the wheel's I could do with coming forward but the diff can't follow it any ideas?? Stub shaft from the diff to something then shaft out to the wheels.


Please any good ideas????

I'm not sure I follow. Is the differential 40 / 50 cms further back that it needs to be? I don't think anything can compensate for such a gap, as both shafts for the diff and the wheels need to be reasonably perpendicular from each, so you can't angle anything that much. I think your in the realms of a bespoke chain drive to link 2 offset shafts.

you need 4 90degree 1-1 transfer boxes.

and custom shafts.

Heavy sitting right on that nose, and would increase transmission loss ( possibly to an extent that it kills the center diff.)

You could try chain drive but that would need to be 2 sealed chain baths and a multi tooth chain. ( VERY BESPOKE! ) .

It may also cause very odd torque steer issues.
