Chassis measurement for rollcage

Could some have a look at the book or measure chassis for me.

I need to know the measurement from the centre of the rear rollbar mounts to the chassis rail second one forward from the rear of the base

Hi Mike,

Not 100% sure which dimension you need, but think it maybe the measurement thats on page 38, fig 4.8, this shows 1385mm from the rear face of BR12 to the forward face of BR10, but then need to add the 151mm (lean back angle of seat back rails) then add on the 80mm of the roll bar mounting plate center point. But then subtract 25mm of the SB2 rail which the roll bar mounting plate CP3 or CP4 sits on top of.

like said, not sure if thats the dims you need? ( the above dims were taken from diagrams in the book & not from a chassis)

cheers
andy

That is fantastic.... Just what I was after.

One more thing... Do you have the height of the rear shock mount/rollbar mounting face

550.6mm to the roll bar mounting face

p43 fig 4.15

Forget the 0.6 bit it's fabricating not cnc machining....:D

U3, U6 , U7 & U8 are all 305 mm long and set on a 25 mm tube with a 25 mm tube on top, so I think 355 mm is the number you are looking for.
